Dyeing involves coloring textile fibers by applying dyes in dyeing or printing processes. To minimize the influence of the natural color of textiles on the hue and especially the brilliance during the dyeing process, textiles made of natural fibers are usually bleached beforehand. If, on the other hand, the dyeing of a textile is removed, for example, after incorrect dyeing, this is referred to as stripping the textile. Dyeing has a millennia-old tradition.
