Warp dressing is an intermediate step between spinning and weaving. To form a textile surface, the individual threads must first be brought together in parallel in a multitude, a warp, which forms the so-called weaving warp. This warp is then crossed with the weft threads during weaving. The production of the weaving warp is the goal of warp dressing. The threads of the weaving warp are wound onto the so-called warp beam, which is then transported directly to the weaving mill or first presented to a sizing machine.
